Hi JC Fans! Ok, so Date #6. Where do I start? I met him at his Fraternity's philanthropy event, he’s actually mutuals with one of my best friends. Right away, I thought he was so handsome, he's one of those guys that just catches your eye. I immediately told my friend, as one does and quickly we both followed each other on Instagram. I felt bold one day and asked him if he wanted to grab a bite to eat sometime. He answered promptly, with a text like “it was nice to meet you and would love to hang out”. Green flag: he asked when I was free THAT week. A round of applause for Wild Child. I think we landed on Thursday afternoon at Hey Neighbor, a local pizza place near campus. He also explained that he'll be wearing a suit due to a fraternity event that night, me being me I told him I’ll dress up too. I wouldn't want it to be awkward, but honestly I feel more confident in a dress and makeup. (You guys know me so well). I was actually excited for this date! I just had a good feeling about him.
That week was so busy for me, since the biggest sorority formal, Barn Dance, was coming up...and I was in charge of it all. I was running around like a headless chicken though. Now, I am going to tell you the next part was out of character and you can't judge me, this isn't who I am, ok? I completely forgot about my date on Thursday, didn't cross my mind once. And on that exact same day I thought to myself, “I feel like I should just wear a big t-shirt and some shorts - it's hot outside and who am I going to run into?” IDIOT. So I strutted around with my large tee and no makeup - I LOOKED LIKE A HOT MESS MINUS THE HOT. 12pm came around and of course Wild Child texted me, "Where should I meet you?", meet me? My face goes stark white. I looked at my friends and said "Oh shit" and then I looked in the mirror and said "Oh shit". For 10 minutes I was freaking out - at the time I was at my chapter house, hanging out with my sorority sisters. I didn't have ANYTHING there, not even lip gloss. The next 15 minutes was a sequence of running around trying to find something to wear, and finding some damn lip gloss. But unfortunately my time was up. I managed to brush out my hair and I was ready to accept my fate. He texted that he arrived at the house. I opened the door and there he was. In a blue suit, cleanly shaved. And there I was, looking like a bat out of hell. All I could do is laugh and try to explain. To my surprise, he actually didn't care that much, at least to my knowledge. He was understanding - that's the word. Anyways, we walked from the chapter house to Hey Neighbor. Let me tell you, it was so hot outside. Like we were both sweating. Him a little bit more than me since he was in a jacket and I was barely holding myself together, forcing the sweat not to seep through my shirt. We finally arrived and I chugged water like there was no tomorrow. We found a table and ordered pizza and a salad with EXTRA water. We talked about our interests and hobbies. Remember when I told you that I knew there was something nice about him. Well guys......DRUMROLL! His personality is amazing! He was lively and fun. I'm not trying to stroke his ego but that was the best date I've had in a long time. It was refreshing. Definitely my type: smart, funny, tall, dark, and handsome. Did I mention he has a hobby? Yes, a hobby! Hard to find sometimes. AND he asked ME questions, I was baffled. We spent almost an hour on our date. Most important thing I took away from this was that he made me laugh. That’s why I nicknamed him Wild Child - he told a funny story about how he got suspended from school, because he threw a party. I was chuckling the whole time he was talking about it. He paid for lunch and we headed back to my chapter house. And you know what I just realized? His event was closer to the pizza place than my house, so that means he walked me back to my chapter house and then walked all the way back. Gentleman at its finest. I think he even texted after, saying he had a great time and wanted to see me again.
You're probably wondering, Janae what the hell happened to him? Well that’s where it gets complicated. We lost touch during the summer break, but we got back in touch this year, when we saw each other at a party. We started texting again, but I think we are just friends (I honestly don’t know) Maybe flirty friends? Oh well, on to the next.
